Jim Stadler in old shop

Jim Stadler, founder of J. Stadler Machine, previously worked for over 20 years for one of the world's largest manufacturers of babbitted oil film bearings. There Jim became a Wisconsin certified journeyman machinist. He continued growing his skills through additional education and experience. In the late 1970s he advanced into the area of CNC machining where he ultimately became one of the company's top CNC programmers.

First EmployeeIn 1986 Jim, along with the support and encouragement of his wife Corinne, started J. Stadler Machine, Inc. He purchased a 2,000 square foot metal building on 7th Avenue in Oshkosh. He had heating and electrical wiring installed while he built the office and bathroom himself. J. Stadler Machine became incorporated in the fall of 1986. After purchasing a few machines Jim began to manufacture parts for several local businesses. He then hired his first employee, Mr. Mao Lee, who is still with our company today. Mao shared many of Jim's same values: love of family, good work ethic, honesty and loyalty. It was these values, along with Jim's personal faith in Jesus Christ, which would become the basis for his newly formed company.

As the work load and number of employees grew, Jim realized that he needed to move his business into a larger building. In 1989 he had a 7,500 square-foot building erected at 2661 W. 20th Avenue in Oshkosh, which is our present location. In 1998 he put on a 9,400 square-foot addition.

Jim believes that God led him into starting this business and that God continues to lead him every day of his life. He works diligently at running a business that honors his loving Lord.
